Point And Click Coaching – What Happens When It Goes Wrong!

I am one week six of Point and Click Coaching so here is my review so far.

As you know Lee McIntyre is a well known UK marketer with a growing international reputation. In August 2009 he held his first UK workshop in Manchester. I desperately wanted to go but could not afford the price of the workshop so that seemed to be the end of that.

However, Lee decided to giveaway the recordings of entire 2 day workshop sessions FREE on DVD apart from a measly few dollars shipping. This is an insane offer! That was my introduction to Point and Click Coaching. I signed up for the free trial and I was hooked from the start.

I had created some products before and sold them with some success but I knew that I needed more, I needed a mentor who had been there before me and had made a success of it, I needed someone to show me the way.

So what is Point and Click like? Well I am just completing week 4 at the moment. Each week you will have access to the training video, the weekly assignment and all the tools needed to complete the assignment. If you get stuck there is James on the help desk.

The first task I completed was my own blog (this one) with the video tuition it took less than 10 minutes and IMHO I think it looks good. Then Lee gave us three strategies for driving traffic. I hate the G word (guru) and Lee built his business doing the exact opposite from what the “guru’s” taught so perhaps he would prefer to be called 1st class mentor instead.

So what happened on Tuesday? I tried to login to Point and Click Coaching and it wasn’t there. I tried again, no joy, so I tried Firefox still no. I sent a support ticket to James on the help desk. With 30 mins I had an e-mail response thanking me for pointing out the problem and they already had an engineer working on it.

That is where most organisations would stop; they have done all the expected stuff, apologised for the problem and taking steps to resolve it. No, as ever James and Lee over delivered again and gave me completely FREE access to one of Lee’s other products which he sells for $497!

Impressed you bet!! Not only with the response to the support ticket but the fact that Point And Click was back on line very quickly and the free product wow that is service. What product was it? I will tell you later when I post a full review of the product.

What about weeks 5&6 as ever I am a bit behind. Am I impressed with the product and service so far? You bet, if you are serious about making a change in your life and circumstances you seriously need to check this out!

Are eBooks Finished?

An ebook or electronic book is a very simple and cost effective way of distributing information. This is usually in PDF form (Portable Document Format) eBooks have long been considered a very poor relation to the printed form for several reasons. Consider the evidence; a real book is at the pinnacle of its technological development, the eBook is still in its infancy.

To give an analogy the printed form is the 3D experience with surround sound the complete cinematic experience where as the eBook is still in the black and white silent era of its development. I may be over stating this a bit as there are now interactive eBooks which are very good but again the quality varies enormously.

eBooks do have a bad reputation due to the poor quality information in many of the earlier offerings which are still doing the rounds on the internet. The evidence is always there to be seen; the paper stinkers just get pulped and disappear off the radar.

eBooks are one of the most common means the Information Marketers use to distribute their materials; it has many real advantages over its paper counterpart. It is very simple to produce, it is very cost effective to distribute after all if you sell a digital download you are essentially continuing to sell fresh air. It can easily be updated in a matter of hours unlike the paper version which has to wait until the next scheduled revision.

There will always be a place for the eBook like its printed equivalent, but the multimedia capability, of computers, phones and personal organisers as well as eBook readers open up the exchange of information using different media such as audio and video. This allows the same information to be distributed in a very user friendly form, why spend weeks typing up an eBook when a few hours capturing a video off the computer using camtasia would be much quicker.

Sites such as youtube have lead the way in showing the capability of this medium, although still in its infancy it has already had a major impact in Information marketing.

Many people like to listen to audio when travelling make some of your information available this way so that it widens the scope of your products. Recording audio is very simple, windows comes with a built in Sound Recorder so a simple inexpensive headset and mic is all you need to start.

I wish that I had realised this earlier than I did, I spent most of the summer months last year producing 3 large eBooks for my home study course Plugin Auction Profits and although I recorded 19 video and an audio, I realised only recently that a further 50% of the content could have been covered by additional video and audio content.

To conclude: The eBook is not dead but we need to think outside the box when we produce products and use every method we can to promote our own high quality products.

Don’t you just hate it when people give you their advice on subjects they know little or nothing about? Well there are always a few so here goes.

Lee delivers such massive content that he sometimes speaks 20 to the dozen, so you need to pay attention, so leave the note taking until later. There is so much content that you will have to view the videos several times anyway it is the only way to get the most out of the incredible value he delivers.

Lee has an English accent (Mancunian to be precise) it may be a little disconcerting at first but after a few minutes you will find it engaging and it really will make you concentrate on the content.

Lee is a Manchester United fan, and he mentions this from time to time. But having delivered such amazing value to this Liverpool fan I have forgiven him (almost!).

So that is my honest opinion from someone who has been there and done that, no wild speculation or half baked advice just solid fact.
